The special representative of the Russian president for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev, stated that Vladimir Zelensky’s time in London is harmful to the cause of peace.
He wrote about this on X on October 15.
“The time [Zelensky] spends in London is harmful to peace. British warmongers know how to promote war and undermine peace,” Dmitriev wrote.
The comment was prompted by Zelensky’s interview with the Financial Times, in which the Ukrainian president announced that he had lifted the ban on Ukrainian Armed Forces striking oil refineries in Russia.
On October 14, Zelensky arrived in the United Kingdom on a visit, where he held a meeting with Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
The Axios portal had previously reported, citing White House sources, that US President Donald Trump is angry with Zelensky and expects Kyiv to stop striking oil refineries in Russia. According to the outlet, Trump believes these strikes are driving up fuel costs in the US, and is angry that Zelensky takes Washington’s support for Kyiv for granted.
