Former U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he is ready to temporarily take on the role of Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“They asked me if I would agree to take this position temporarily for the party until they come to an agreement,” said the former American leader. According to him, he is willing to agree if necessary.

Trump added that he is prepared to assume the role for “a period of 30, 60, or 90 days” until the Republican Party reaches a longer-term arrangement. He mentioned that the request came from many of his “friends” in the U.S. Congress.

To recap, on October 3rd, it was reported that Congressman Troy Nilles suggested nominating Donald Trump for the vacant position of Speaker of the House of Representatives in the United States, stating that “Kevin McCarthy will not run for Speaker again.”
