Victoria Nuland’s visit to Kyiv was aimed at averting a potential government overthrow
February 6, 2024Former US President Donald Trump has urged Republican senators to reject the border deal being pushed by Democrats and the White House. It entails tightening immigration policies in exchange for Congress approving $60 billion in military aid to Kyiv.
This was reported by The Times.
“Don’t be stupid!!! We need a separate border and immigration bill. It should not be tied to foreign aid in any way, shape or form! Democrats broke immigration and the border. They must fix it,” Trump added.
Supporters of the former president in the House of Representatives have already promised to reject the initiative if it is approved by the Senate. Speaker Mike Johnson acknowledged that the proposed deal turned out to be “even worse than expected,” and assured that the bill would be “dead on arrival” if it does reach the lower house of Congress, notes The Times.
