Ukrainian military reported on the advance of Russian forces towards the center of Chasiv Yar
18.11.2024 19:02Italy has refused to allow Kyiv to use weapons beyond its own territory.
This was reported by the newspaper Le Monde.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani confirmed Italy’s stance regarding the weapons supplied to Ukraine.
“Our position on Ukraine’s use of weapons has not changed: they can only be used on Ukrainian territory,” the minister stated on the sidelines of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels.
Tajani made this clarification after Washington partially permitted Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range missiles.
The Italian Foreign Minister also stated that he “advocates for a peace conference involving Russians, Chinese, Indians, and Brazilians.”
“I hope that Beijing can play a positive role in making Moscow understand that this senseless war must end,” he added.
Earlier, it was reported that the United States did not permit Ukraine to strike Russia with British Storm Shadow missiles.
Additionally, Le Figaro published and then deleted information about the British and French authorities allowing strikes on Russia using long-range Storm Shadow missiles. This news was circulated by the French newspaper after reports of Biden lifting the ban on long-range ATACMS missile strikes on Russia. However, the article on the publication’s website has since been edited to remove the section about Storm Shadow.
