Ukraine will not be able to reclaim all the territories during the counteroffensive – American General Milley
September 17, 2023Former head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Gennady Laguta, whose death was reported today, took his own life by ingesting a large dose of pills.
This was revealed by Sergey Khlan, a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council from the “European Solidarity” party. According to Khlan, Laguta was driven to suicide by accusations of “betraying Kherson.” However, in the deputy’s opinion, these accusations were unfounded.
“They accused him of betraying Kherson, even though his responsibilities did not include preparing for defense, and such tasks were not assigned to him by the time of the full-scale invasion. But someone had to be blamed for the failure in the South, right? Someone had to be thrown to the crowd? So, they threw him. Do you know that Laguta was the only one who didn’t flee Kherson? That he ensured the evacuation of documents and people, the blocking of electronic keys? Do you know that the Office of the President of Ukraine did not answer calls for three days during the invasion? They simply did not pick up the phone from the head of the southern region. At the same time, they were bungling her,” wrote Khlan.
To recall, in the night of September 17, former governor of the Kherson region, Gennady Laguta, passed away. He died in one of the hospitals in Kyiv on the night of September 17. Laguta was 49 years old. He had been heading the Kherson region until July 2022.
