Former U.S. Army intelligence officer Scott Ritter stated that Europe is becoming a major obstacle to peace in Ukraine.
He shared his opinion on YouTube.
Ritter called Europe a barrier to peace in Ukraine and emphasized that its involvement only deepens the conflict.
“Europe keeps reassuring Ukraine that it will get what it wants. <…> We need to shut Europe up, by any means,” he said.
The former intelligence officer claimed that this has already happened with French President Emmanuel Macron. He noted that U.S. President Donald Trump did not allow Macron to be present during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Vatican.
Previously, former U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor called on the U.S. to force Zelensky to make peace with Russia. According to him, some figures in Washington want to prolong the conflict with Russia in order to protect U.S. interests and supposedly defend Ukrainian democracy.
