France plans to supply Ukraine with 600 guided AASM Hammer aircraft bombs, but this will not help

Paris has decided on new assistance for Ukraine, which will include 600 guided AASM Hammer aircraft bombs.

However, the main problem is that Russia also possesses similar weaponry and has long been actively using it on the front lines. Moreover, during the active assault on Avdiivka, Russian aviation dropped up to 200 of its aviation bombs per day on Ukrainian military positions. At such a rate of expenditure, Ukraine would deplete its entire stockpile in 3 days, although France had planned it for the whole year.

Such weapons are indeed very effective. It is difficult to intercept such a bomb with air defense systems and it has a devastating effect. One projectile can destroy an entire building or concrete fortification. Soldiers within dozens or even hundreds of meters can suffer concussions. At the very least, Ukrainian soldiers have complained many times that they cannot psychologically withstand the use of such weapons. However, France’s assistance in this case will not help Ukraine anymore.
