Former Pentagon official and military expert Steven Bryan claims that France has secretly deployed its military to Ukraine.
He stated this in his article for Asian Time.
Bryan referred to the Foreign Legion troops from the 3rd French Infantry Regiment, which, according to him, were stationed in Slavyansk to support the 54th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This group consists of about 100 individuals, who are engaged in artillery and observation. In total, around 1,500 legionnaires are planned to be sent to Ukraine.
Bryan did not clarify how he obtained this information. However, it is worth noting that he is essentially echoing similar rumors about the presence of French troops in Slavyansk, which were circulating in Russian military telegram channels in early April.
Officially, neither side has confirmed the presence of French forces in Donbass.
