German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has called for preparations for a “very long” war by Russia against Ukraine.
He made this statement at a conference of the country’s armed forces on Friday, November 10.

The German Chancellor sees no signs that the Kremlin intends to cease hostilities and withdraw troops from the occupied territories of Ukraine.
“We should be prepared for the fact that this war may last a very long time,” said Scholz.
At the same time, he believes that the conflict with Ukraine has already lasted longer than Russian President Vladimir Putin had anticipated. Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky stated that Russia’s war against Ukraine would end if Putin were to die.
