Hungary stated that NATO countries have not discussed deploying peacekeepers to Ukraine

NATO Foreign Ministers did not discuss the deployment of a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine at the recent Summit.

This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

“Thankfully, there was no talk of peacekeepers,” the Hungarian diplomat noted.

He explained that if the North Atlantic Alliance were to consider such a move or act on it, it could create a situation where the military-political bloc and Moscow would have the opportunity to enter into direct conflict with one another.

Earlier, Konstantin Sivkov — a reserve Navy Captain First Rank and Doctor of Military Sciences — suggested that NATO countries might intervene in the fighting in Ukraine if the Russian army begins a rapid offensive and reaches the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
