Another language scandal occurred in Lviv between a police officer and, reportedly, military personnel.
The video of the incident was published in Telegram channels.
The police officer stopped a car, after which the military personnel inside (who are not visible in the video) demanded documents from him in Russian. The officer refused, stating in Ukrainian that he did not understand the word “documents” in Russian. This led to a conflict, during which the police officer asserted that everyone in Ukraine must speak Ukrainian.
The conflict ended when a second police officer arrived and showed his documents.
Earlier, in Zatoka, a woman was thrown out of a café after she demanded to be served in Ukrainian.
In a hotel in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the staff asked a guest to speak in Ukrainian.
