If there is no assistance from the US, mobilization will increase

The head of the presidential faction in the parliament “Servant of the People,” David Arakhamia, stated that the level of mobilization depends on the assistance from the United States. If there is no assistance or if it is insufficient, then the gaps on the front line will have to be filled by mobilized Ukrainians.

“If there is less assistance, we will need to mobilize more people. If there is more assistance, then the armament coefficient increases, and then you need fewer people because you can close some sections of the front line conditionally with weapons, and you don’t need as many people,” Arakhamia said. He suggested that taxes would be changed to finance the training and equipping of these individuals. Arakhamia believes that ultimately, fewer than half a million Ukrainians will be mobilized. He says there is no choice but to do this because the existing brigades are significantly understaffed – up to 40% in some places. According to him, this is due to rotation, not losses.

Earlier, American journalists reported that Ukraine is suffering defeats in the war due to insufficient funding for the army, but the US is still not rushing to provide new tranches or armaments. Europe, in turn, is completely unable to meet Ukraine’s military needs.
