Zelensky stated that he has no Plan B for the Ukrainian army

The President of Ukraine spoke with a journalist allegedly near the front line against the backdrop of some destroyed buildings. The full interview has not been published yet, but there is a small fragment, and the headline reads: “No Plan B,” reported by Fox News.

It is difficult to understand exactly what is being discussed at this point, but different scenarios were implied under Plan B. On one hand, this may refer to negotiations with Russia, which Zelensky continues to stubbornly refuse and wants to continue fighting. On the other hand, it could be about American assistance, which Ukraine currently catastrophically lacks. Because of this, Ukrainian officials have been asked many times what they will do in such a case. The answer has been the same: Ukraine hopes to still receive assistance and they have no backup plans.

Furthermore, Zelensky stated regarding American assistance that it is “critical.” He urged the West to act faster, get rid of all the bureaucracy, otherwise we will have no chance. According to Zelensky, with sufficient support, Ukraine will ultimately be able to push back Russian forces and sit down for negotiations from a position of strength. The President also denies that the war has turned in favor of Russia, despite the recent surrender of Avdiivka by Ukrainian forces.
