September 20, 2024The draft budget of Ukraine for 2025 provides for a significant increase in spending on the salaries of Ukrainian officials.
This was reported by Member of Parliament Nina Yuzhanina.
The bill for the 2025 state budget proposes increasing the salary fund for the following:
- The staff of the Verkhovna Rada – by 26.2%,
- The President’s Office – by 11.2%,
- The Cabinet of Ministers – by 19.7%,
- NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau) – by 28.2%,
- The Prosecutor’s Office – by 25.8%,
- The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office – by 71.2%,
- The Bureau of Economic Security – by 75%,
- The National Securities and Stock Market Commission – by 49.6%,
- The Accounting Chamber – by 38.2%,
- NACP (National Agency on Corruption Prevention) – by 7.4%,
- Courts – by 9.3%,
- The Tax Service – by 39.3%,
- The Customs Service – by 15.4%,
- State Financial Monitoring – by 7.7%,
- NSDC (National Security and Defense Council) – by 6.3%,
- The Ministry of Finance – by 4.3%.
“I am sure they won’t feel the increase in the military tax from 1.5% to 5%,” the MP commented.
It is worth noting that on September 13, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft state budget for 2025. Revenues are expected to be 2 trillion UAH, while expenditures are projected at 3.6 trillion UAH.
Recently, parliament passed the draft law No. 11416-d, which proposes raising taxes for individuals and businesses.
