19.05.2024 12:23The Hlyboka District Court in Chernivtsi Oblast restricted the freedom of a man who evaded mobilization on the advice of his brother, who is fighting on the front lines.
This is evidenced by the court decision published on the website of the Unified Register of Court Decisions of Ukraine.

According to the case materials, it concerns a native of the village of Podhorodne in the Pervomaiskyi district of Mykolaiv Oblast. On September 7, 2023, he underwent a medical examination and the military medical commission deemed him fit for military service. The next day, on September 8, the man received a “combat” summons but “categorically refused to undergo military service during mobilization, despite being warned about criminal liability.”
In court, he fully admitted his guilt.
The man explained that he is an orphan and has only one brother, who is serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participating in combat operations. According to the defendant, it was his brother who advised him “under no circumstances to go to serve.”
The court found the conscript guilty and sentenced him to one year and ten months of restricted freedom.
