The Times of Ukraine reports.
“A huge traffic jam is forming in the direction of Boryspil,” the report says.
On the morning of March 9, TCC representatives stopped a car in which Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksandr Fedienko was riding. According to the lawmaker, the draft officers told him the amount that draft-age men are allegedly willing to pay as a bribe so they will not be mobilized and sent to the front.
The MP posted a video on social media showing his conversation with the TCC staff. In the clip, Fedienko insists that the men who stopped him identify themselves and remove their balaclavas. He then asks about the size of the bribe, and the TCC staff name a figure of $50,000.
Fedienko said he receives up to 10 messages a day from Ukrainian citizens complaining about unlawful actions by law enforcement and draft office personnel. For this reason, he says he personally checks the work of mobile checkpoints in Kyiv, Boryspil, and Brovary.
