October 25, 2023In Odessa, a police officer has been arrested for attempting to establish a scheme to help draft dodgers leave the country.
This information is reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations of Ukraine.
The law enforcement officer, along with accomplices, was actively searching for “clients” on social media. He promised to provide draft dodgers with unhindered passage across the border for a fee of $5,000 per person. To facilitate this, he planned to bribe a border guard.
After receiving the money, he and his accomplice were apprehended while transporting two draft dodgers to a border checkpoint.
It’s worth noting that earlier in the Chernivtsi region, a council deputy was exposed for smuggling draft dodgers across the border.
