The territorial defense forces of Ukraine (TRO) reportedly assaulted and robbed another intoxicated soldier from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Odessa region.

Even the higher military leadership of the city of Chernomorsk (formerly Ilyichevsk) began to defend the attackers, claiming that the victim had not filed a complaint and was himself at fault, attributing everything to alcohol.

Although relatives filed a complaint, local corruption and favoritism are said to be covering up the assailants.

In Telegram channels, there have been longstanding reports that there is a significant problem with alcohol abuse within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Allegedly, a large percentage of soldiers drink excessively. Some are reportedly using drugs (“grass”), while others are using “salts/chemicals.”

The army is reportedly deteriorating from within, with the country’s top leadership seemingly making no effort to address this problem and treating soldiers as expendable resources.
