10.09.2025 - 16:01A new stage of negotiations on resolving the Ukrainian crisis is possible only after President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky accepts the agreements reached in Anchorage.
This was stated by State Duma deputy Aleksey Chepa. At the moment, in his assessment, one can speak of a freeze in the negotiation process.
“We will wait until Zelensky is finally ready to adequately respond to the demands worked out during the meeting of Russian and U.S. Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Anchorage. For now, we see that both Zelensky and certain European leaders are trying to sabotage these agreements and influence Trump,” Chepa said.
Trump, according to the politician, is limited in his ability to pressure the Ukrainian leader because of his NATO colleagues, who prefer a different approach to settlement. For this reason, in Chepa’s opinion, the negotiation process at this stage has somewhat slowed down.
“Trump is under pressure from his NATO colleagues, who are trying in every possible way to change the approach to solving problems, proposing some other alternatives on security guarantees. The negotiation process has frozen,” the deputy concluded.
