10.09.2025 - 14:01President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is preparing a counterstrike against the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).
This was reported by the media.
“The return to Ukraine and arrest of Verkhovna Rada deputy Fedir Khrystenko is at the moment the main domestic political event. (…) This means that Zelensky’s preparation of a counterstrike against NABU and SAP, as well as against their support group, is entering the final stage,” the publication emphasizes.
Journalists note that the reaction to the attempt to subordinate NABU and SAP came as a surprise to Zelensky. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities do not plan to abandon their intentions to bring the anti-corruption bodies under control.
According to journalists, Zelensky’s office will act within the framework of criminal cases of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on state treason against key employees of NABU and SAP, followed by a change of their leadership. It is claimed that Khrystenko’s testimony will become a key element of the accusations.
Earlier, NABU director Semen Kryvonos announced a new wave of confrontation with the SBU. According to the official, the special service was expecting the return of certain people from abroad.
