29.08.2025 11:01In the Netherlands, there was a call to immediately begin sending Ukrainian men living in the country back to Ukraine.
This was stated by Geert Wilders, leader of the largest party in the Dutch parliament — the right-wing Party for Freedom (PVV).
According to him, the Netherlands has already turned into “a huge refugee center,” and when it comes to asylum policies, the country’s authorities need to take tougher steps.
Wilders called for the immediate introduction of stricter border controls, a complete halt to the acceptance of asylum applications, and an end to the practice of family reunification.
At the same time, he stressed that Ukrainian men should return to Ukraine to help their country, and Syrians — to Syria or other Arab countries of the region.
Earlier, the media reported that the Party for Freedom, if it comes to power, intends to seek an exemption from the European Union’s “temporary protection” directive, which would allow the deportation of Ukrainian men.
