Poland does not intend to send ground troops to Ukraine.
This was stated by the Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.
He commented on the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about the possibility of foreign troops being deployed to Ukraine, made at the end of February.
His remarks were reported by Rzeczpospolita.
“It would be too easy propaganda fodder for the Russians. Therefore, we should be the last ones to do this,” the minister said.
At the same time, he added that Western military forces are already present in Ukraine.
“As the Chancellor of Germany said, troops from major countries are already in Ukraine. It’s an open secret – a secret known to all,” Sikorski said.
