In the territorial recruitment center of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the Odesa region, a conscripted man cut off his finger with a fire axe.

This was reported by the local newspaper “Dumskaya,” citing sources.

According to the sources, the man took this desperate step to avoid undergoing a military medical commission. He was immediately hospitalized.

However, according to the list of diseases that are grounds for recognizing a person as unfit for service, the absence of a finger is not included.

Recently, similar incidents have become more frequent in territorial recruitment centers. For example, in May, a young man cut his veins in a military commissariat near Kyiv. According to acquaintances, the conscription officers beat him, took his personal belongings, and held him until the morning. Then he was forcibly taken to a medical commission in the suburb of Vyshneve. When he tried to contact a lawyer, his phone was taken away, and he was out of contact for a day. When a lawyer and an investigative group arrived at the territorial recruitment center, it was found that the young man had cut his veins.

In March, in the Zakarpattia region, at the Khust district territorial recruitment center, a man attempted to commit suicide.
