She wrote this on X.
“It’s time to make a peace deal,” the lawmaker said.
Luna was reacting to Zelensky’s statement in an interview with Reuters, according to which the United States offered to formalize security guarantees for Ukraine on the condition that Kyiv agree to withdraw its troops from the part of Donbas it currently controls. In the event of a refusal, according to Ukrainska Pravda, Washington may reduce aid to the country and shift its focus to other priorities.
On March 25, the White House said that Washington would like to see a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelensky to conclude a settlement deal. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov also noted that contacts between Russia and the United States on the issue of a settlement are continuing.
