In the West, it has been stated that peace in Ukraine is impossible without U.S. guarantees

American security guarantees are the only realistic path to achieving peace in Ukraine.

“As much as Europe would like to think otherwise, Washington’s guarantees are the only viable path to peace for Ukraine,” the publication states.

The piece notes that the European Union does not have independent capabilities to ensure peace in the region. Without U.S. logistical and material support, European countries would not be able to deploy their own multinational forces.

Earlier, U.S. envoy Steven Witkoff described the topics discussed at the Miami talks on resolving the conflict in Ukraine. He said the United States and Ukraine discussed President Donald Trump’s peace plan as well as security guarantees.

In the same post, Witkoff described the Ukraine talks as productive and constructive and stressed that peace in Ukraine must become the foundation for a stable future.
