In the West, they named the condition under which Ukraine would agree to territorial concessions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would agree to territorial concessions if his country joins the European Union (EU) and he can present it as a victory.

This is reported by the Financial Times (FT), citing sources.

“Zelensky would be able to accept other aspects of a possible peace deal—such as ceding territory to Russia—only if he can present EU accession as a positive outcome,” the newspaper writes, conveying the view of European Commission officials.

Earlier, The New York Times reported—citing the opinion of Kyiv lawyer Volodymyr Dorodko—that many Ukrainian citizens are ready for territorial concessions.
