December 6, 2023In Ukraine, there are plans to issue military summons through email and registered mail.
This was stated by the representative of the President in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Fyodor Venislavsky, while commenting on potential changes to the mobilization law.
“In the draft law, we plan to stipulate the possibility of delivering summons not only in person with a signature but also through email and registered mail. This means that a notification of receiving a registered letter will be sent to the mailbox, and the actual letter with the summons should be handed over to the person personally by the respective representatives of postal services. This is what we call a public summons,” stated Venislavsky.
Additionally, according to him, the new draft law on mobilization will specify that summons can be delivered not only by representatives of territorial recruitment centers but also through local self-government bodies, local executive authorities, aiming to clarify the authorities of all public entities regarding mobilization matters.
