This was reported by the head of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Daniil Hetmantsev.
The number of declarations for 2022 with amounts exceeding 1 million hryvnias (almost 24,500 euros) increased by 2,863 people (16%) – to 12,374 people. Together, they are required to pay 2.7 billion hryvnias (about 66 million euros) in taxes to the budget of Ukraine and another half a million in military fees.
He also noted that in 2023, Ukrainians submitted 266 thousand declarations of property and income. The total declared income amounted to 147.92 billion hryvnias. A significant portion of the declarations – 112 thousand – were submitted due to the use of the right to a tax deduction. The amount of personal income tax to be refunded from the budget is 444.08 million hryvnias.
It is worth recalling that the “Sluga Naroda” party proposed paying more taxes on salaries exceeding 20 thousand hryvnias.
