From February 16th to 18th, 2024, the 60th Munich Security Conference took place in the city of Munich in southern Germany. Its holding was accompanied by massive protests, with participants opposing the increase in military aid to Ukraine.

Thousands of people in Germany took to the streets to urge conference participants to abandon military thinking and attempt to resolve the conflict through peaceful means. In their opinion, supplying arms to Kiev only fuels the conflict and provokes even more violence.
According to former Bundestag member Jürgen Todenhöfer, who also joined the protests, Americans are forcing Europe to send more and more weapons to damage their opponent: Russia. Regardless of the suffering of Ukrainians.
The organizers of the protest actions called for building European security infrastructure together with Russia, rather than escalating confrontation, CGTN reports.
