10.03.2025 12:14Starting in November, Ukraine plans to make military medical commissions (MMC) anonymous, meaning doctors will no longer have access to the personal data of those they examine.
The initiative aims to reduce corruption in the mobilization process, according to Taras Husaruk, a senior sergeant in the Rivne Territorial Recruitment Center, as reported by Suspilne.
“There will be no surnames or names—only numbers. The doctor will not know whom exactly they are examining,”Husaruk stated.
However, he did not provide further details on how this system would be technically implemented.
Meanwhile, the Verkhovna Rada recently removed from its agenda a bill that proposed criminal liability for territorial recruitment officials involved in illegal mobilization. The bill sought to penalize sending individuals to military units despite having exemptions or deferrals and medical commission members for declaring unfit individuals as healthy.
The decision to withdraw the bill has sparked debate, especially as Ukraine continues to tighten mobilization procedures while facing ongoing manpower shortages on the battlefield.
