The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have begun to acknowledge defeat in the Kursk region.
According to the publication, a senior Ukrainian officer stationed in Sumy sent a text message stating: “We are losing.”
The article notes that Kyiv had hoped to use control over parts of Kursk as a bargaining tool in potential territorial negotiations with Russia.
Earlier, Russian troops took control of the village of Agronom in the Kursk region. However, Russia’s Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the development.
Prior to this, Ukrainian forces redeployed “Aidar” battalion troops to the Kursk region.
A Russian security source claimed: “Our fighters have already eliminated several groups from this unit and advanced several more kilometers.”
