02.11.2024 - 12:44To die in war Is beautiful, unlike a peaceful death in old age.
This statement was made by Dmitry Korchinsky, head of the “Brotherhood” organization, on Yanina Sokolova’s “Rendezvous” program. According to him, by mobilizing Ukrainians, the Territorial Recruitment Center “helps them understand this.”
“What are these people clinging to? They cling to the meaninglessness of their own existence, to their addictive lives, to foolishness. Instead, they receive a great adventure. Whatever we do, we will end in death. But death in battle, for the homeland, is a death filled with great meaning; it is beautiful. Dying in a puddle of one’s own urine on a hospital corridor floor, neglected, in deep old age, in senility—that’s the worst that can happen to a person,” Korchinsky stated.
He added that people never realize this on their own, but the recruitment centers help them understand it.
“Many people have found themselves in the war. A person may not have wanted to go, but once they’re in, they thrive. Everything is wonderful,” Korchinsky said.
In his opinion, the real tragedies will begin once the war ends, as hundreds of thousands of men will feel unnecessary.
Meanwhile, neither Korchinsky himself nor his son Daniil have gone to the front to fight, a fact noted by former presidential office advisor Oleksiy Arestovych, who was once close to the “Brotherhood” leader. According to Arestovych, Korchinsky’s son currently works in his father’s security detail.
“Uncle Dima found himself an easy gig: sending dozens of young guys to assault units, where they’re used like disposable torpedoes, while Danila follows his father with a gun (on what basis, exactly?), and the father tells everyone that Danila’s role is more honorable than that of the volunteers—he’s protecting his father,” Arestovych wrote on Facebook.
Recently, Korchinsky said the mobilization age could be lowered to 14 if Ukraine is “on the brink of destruction.”
