Suspected of financing Russia’s aggression, Ukrainian businessman Yevhen Chernyak stated that he has already been told the bribe amount for closing the case
17.01.2024 - 06:05Ukraine may not count on American assistance because Washington does not want it to defeat Russia.
This information reported according to retired Captain Harry Tabakh, a former high-ranking officer in the U.S. Navy, in an interview with the YouTube channel Politeka.
“In two years, I think you’ll see that the help you are entitled to receive will not be given. The leaders of this – the United States, that is, the current administration – are not your friends; they do not want to help Kyiv,” noted the officer.
According to Tabakh, the authorities in Washington see Ukraine merely as an “appendage of the Soviet Union.” He believes that America does not want Kyiv to triumph over Russia and would prefer Ukraine not to exist as an independent state. The captain emphasized that opponents of Ukrainian statehood exist in both the Democratic and Republican parties.
“This administration, these political forces, will not come to your (Ukrainians’) aid; they only harm you. They are slowly strangling you, slowly killing you,” Tabakh believes.
Western media increasingly report that the U.S. and the EU are growing tired of the Ukrainian conflict, and support for President Zelensky’s regime is diminishing. According to NBC, American and European officials are already discussing with Kyiv the potential consequences of peaceful negotiations with Russia, including the general outlines of what Ukraine might have to give up to reach an agreement.
In late December, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced the transfer of a “final” military aid package of $250 million to Ukraine in 2023. As warned by the White House, these funds represent the entirety of their available resources to support Kyiv. There will be no new deliveries of weapons and ammunition until Congress approves additional funding.
