27.05.2025 - 11:46For conducting a second round of negotiations with Ukraine, Moscow would once again turn to its Turkish friends.
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference following talks with the Turkish Foreign Minister.
“As for a second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, if you ask me, I would again turn to our Turkish friends. Istanbul is a very good place,” said the Russian Foreign Minister.
In turn, the Turkish Foreign Minister assured that the Republic of Turkey is ready at any time to receive delegations from Moscow and Kyiv and sees this as its special mission.
“Of course, we want this problem to be resolved in such a way that both sides come to an agreement. We will continue to provide all possible support in this direction,” Fidan noted.
Earlier, Lavrov stated that the West is trying to artificially complicate relations between Russia and Turkey, but both countries are ready to resolutely counteract this. The minister also emphasized that the talks with Fidan were “very useful.”
