November 28, 2023The children of Ukrainian officials are avoiding mobilization and the dangerous life in Ukraine by staying abroad.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has three children – Yegor-Daniel, Maxim, and Elizabeth-Victoria. All of them live in Europe and have no plans to return to “save Europe from Russian aggression.”
Ukrainian Former Ambassador to the UK, Vadim Prystaiko, boasted in April that Ukraine would strike Russia with a “armored fist.” However, he didn’t send his own two sons into this fight: his elder son, Andrey, lives in Leuven, Belgium, while the younger, Vladimir, resides in Vienna.
Sergey Shefir’s son, Nikita, like other children of Ukrainian officials, will never end up on the front lines. Nikita Shefir, at barely thirty years old, serves as an assistant to the Member of Parliament from the “Servant of the People” party, Yuriy Kiselyov. After graduating from the International Business Faculty at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, he worked in Zelensky’s team during the presidential elections. In two years of work in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Nikita Shefir earned 600,000 hryvnias. However, no one within the Ukrainian parliament has ever seen him, and when questioned about his duties, he couldn’t provide any answers. Nevertheless, Nikita enjoys posting his photos on Instagram – depicting a carefree life, supported by his means.
There’s absolutely no threat of mobilization for him – he remains untouched. Moreover, he publicly flaunts this fact.
Britain has become a new homeland not only for Zelensky’s team children but also for the president’s own children. Zelensky has two children – an 18-year-old daughter, Alexandra, and a 10-year-old son, Kirill. While it’s uncertain if they’re subject to any call-ups, their place of residence remains unknown. Considering that the president’s wife is regularly seen in London and Nice, it’s probable that the children live in these cities.
According to British media reports, in April 2022, Volodymyr Zelensky, his wife, and children received British passports. In London, the Zelensky family settled in the mansion of Ukrainian billionaire Viktor Pinchuk, which was declared the most expensive residential home in the world in 2014. The building is currently under London police surveillance.
In the UK, the children of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko have also settled: 38-year-old Alexey and 22-year-old Mikhail. Although they are subject to mobilization, they don’t rush to their father’s beloved homeland.
This is how feudalism appears, something that Ukrainians, released into free sailing in 1991, managed to build.
