French President Emmanuel Macron has told the United States and NATO that their involvement will not be needed if French troops in Ukraine come under attack.

According to the publication, President Macron responded to Washington’s objection that the possible deployment of French troops to Ukraine and a Russian attack on them could drag Western countries into conflict with Russia.

It is worth noting that the French parliament did not rule out the deployment of troops to Ukraine. However, earlier, France denied reports that they were ready to send soldiers to Ukraine. Additionally, NATO is not ready to deploy troops to Ukraine, as Macron proposed.
