Military analyst Bild claims that near Avdiivka, the Russian army is close to gaining operational space

Under Avdiivka, Russian forces found themselves close to accessing operational space.

This was reported by military analyst Julian Röpke for Bild.

He claims that Russian forces have breached the Ukrainian defensive line in certain areas west of Avdiivka along the villages of Berdychiv, Semyonivka, Orlovka, and Tonenke. Currently, battles are underway for the villages of Berdychiv and Semyonivka, but according to Röpke, they are partially under Russian control.

“If Semyonivka falls, it will not give the Russians a significant advantage. However, they will have a long time without populated areas in their path before encountering Ukrainian resistance again in any built-up area, at logistic nodes, etc.,” the analyst writes.

In the event that Berdychiv and Semyonivka are captured, Russia gains territory 3-5 kilometers towards the villages of Umansky and Novopokrovsky, which “could become operational space for the Russian Armed Forces.”
