October 26, 2023In Ukraine, there may be an intensified mobilization due to significant personnel losses in the armed forces and the need to form new units.
This was announced by Sergey Rakhmanin, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament’s Committee on National Security, on Wednesday, October 25th.
Rakhmanin stated, “Currently, there is an additional need for resources due to the loss of personnel and the necessity to create new units and brigades.”
He emphasized that the number of volunteers has significantly decreased and there is also a shortage of equipment to equip new units. Rakhmanin pointed out that the army lacks instructors, leading to military training lasting several weeks instead of a couple of months. He said, “There is a gap on the front line that needs to be filled.”
On October 23rd, Vladislav Shevchuk, a company commander in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stated that soldiers are running out every day, and he called for a full-scale mobilization. He expressed hope that the Ukrainian authorities and the military leadership would adopt a stricter approach to this issue and added that women can also serve.
