Media reveal Russia’s proposals for a peace treaty with Ukraine in the early weeks of the major war
04.11.2024 - 19:04The current mobilization is “illegal discrimination against men,” and therefore, the mobilization of women should begin.
This statement was made on social media by Ukrainian MP Maryana Bezuhla.
“There are not two kinds of people in the Constitution. Right now, we have illegal discrimination against men. Moreover, if women are mobilized, fewer men will need to be mobilized — this is one of the reasons, men, why you should support the mobilization of your female compatriots,” Bezuhla wrote.
She suggested starting by mobilizing women for support roles: clerks, HR staff, and security units. The MP believes that this approach could send many men from the rear to the front, particularly those who have “arranged” not to end up on the front lines. According to her, industry specialists are being taken from support roles to the front, leading to a loss of expertise in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Bezuhla also believes women could be involved in logistical work and in boosting the defense industry’s production pace.
Two days ago, Maria Berlinska, head of the volunteer project Victory Drones, stated that Ukraine needs to mobilize women; otherwise, “we will have to surrender.”
Meanwhile, there is a trend of declining mobilization rates in Ukraine, as noted by Roman Kostenko, secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security.
