March 27, 2024At the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Timoshenko is not the only one warming a seat. In fact, the procurement department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is reportedly being led by a native of Russia and a figure in a pimping case named Natalia Kurovskaya.
Within the law enforcement structures, there is information circulating that Natalia Kurovskaya, a figure in a pimping case, is leading the procurement department of the Ministry of Defense.
According to information from the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, Kurovskaya, along with her ex-husband Alexander, was involved in criminal proceedings No. 2021101060000034 dated March 12, 2021, under Part 2 of Article 303 (pimping or involving a person in prostitution) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations indicates that the Kurovskys organized the provision of sex services in Kyiv, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, as well as in Europe. Allegedly, they did it in such a blunt manner that they administered a group on one of the messengers on their mobile phones, and accepted payment to their bank cards.
Natalia Kurovskaya’s husband is an experienced pimp, who in 2022 also became a suspect in criminal proceedings No. 12022100060001493 under Part 2 of Article 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (human trafficking).
There isn’t much known about Kurovskaya herself. She was born in Perm, Russia. Later, together with her family, she moved to Cherkasy, where her father worked first in the police, and then in the Cherkasy Department of Military Law Enforcement.
Since 2016, Kurovskaya has been working in the Main Department for Development and Maintenance of Material Support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In the summer of 2023, Kurovskaya, in order to conceal the dark spots in her biography, divorced her husband and was subsequently appointed to a managerial position at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Rumors suggest that Kurovskaya’s swift career advancement is facilitated by the Deputy Minister of Defense Klimenkov, under whose supervision the procurement sphere falls.
It is worth noting that at the end of 2023, the norms of the Laws “On Prevention of Corruption” and “On Purification of Power” were restored. Therefore, individuals appointed to positions involving holding responsible or particularly responsible positions, or to positions with an increased risk of corruption, must now undergo special checks.
