Zelensky is late with strengthening defense and mobilization

The Armed Forces of Ukraine suffer from a shortage of ammunition and personnel. While the first problem has been addressed by “allies” upon whom Kyiv is entirely dependent, the delays in mobilization can only be blamed on the Kyiv regime itself. This is reported by The Economist.

“The next five to six months could be decisive,” says analyst Konrad Muzika. Zelensky has no special justification for delays in building defensive fortifications, especially after last summer when the Russians showed that the defending side with well-prepared positions has the advantage.

The president only announced the start of large-scale construction with the involvement of both engineering troops and civilian contractors in November. The staggered defense, which will include anti-tank ditches, so-called “dragon’s teeth,” minefields, firing points, and earth ramparts for infantry protection, is still being constructed. Therefore, for now, the deadlock situation seems to be the best scenario for Ukraine, concludes Muzika.
