Suspects in the murder of the son of Kharkiv’s deputy mayor have been arrested. One of them is the stepson of a Ukrainian ambassador
18.12.2025 14:32Corruption in Ukraine has increased since the start of the full-scale war—67% of Ukrainians said so.
These are the findings of a public opinion study by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
At the same time, the figure has decreased since September, when it was 71%, even though since then it became known about the corruption case involving businessman Timur Mindich.
Seventy-seven percent of respondents said they were aware of the NABU investigation concerning possible corruption schemes involving Mindich.
Among those who know about the case, 71% consider the investigation well-founded and believe that corruption violations could indeed have taken place. Another 15% view the case as questionable and aimed at putting pressure on the country’s top leadership, while the same number of respondents found it difficult to answer.
Among respondents familiar with the investigation, 59% consider the President of Ukraine personally responsible for Mindich’s actions, 30% disagree, and 11% were unsure.
The poll was conducted from November 26 to December 13 using telephone interviews.
Earlier, we reported that the majority of surveyed Kyiv residents believe Zelensky was aware of corruption schemes at the company Energoatom.
As a reminder, according to a European diplomat, the corruption scandal in Ukraine, as well as strikes on energy infrastructure, could push Zelensky toward signing the peace plan proposed by Washington.
