18.12.2025 17:01The Pechersk District Court has remanded into custody for two months a former employee of the Odesa Customs Service, Oleksandr Agoiev, and a student, Bohdan Rynzhuk, on suspicion of murdering Danylo Kuzmin—who, according to media reports, is the son of Kharkiv Deputy Mayor Serhii Kuzmin.
This was reported by the media.
Ukraine’s National Police said on December 3 that law enforcement officers had detained suspects in the killing.
Rynzhuk and Agoiev were served with notices of suspicion for premeditated murder with aggravating circumstances. Agoiev, according to his lawyer, denies any involvement in the crime.
According to investigators, Rynzhuk (who studied with Kuzmin at a university in Vienna) and the 45-year-old Agoiev lured the victim into an underground parking garage, where they beat him and forced him to transfer them €50,000 in cryptocurrency. The prosecution alleges that Kuzmin was then driven by car to a secluded place, where he was tied up, doused with gasoline, and burned together with the vehicle.
On November 27 in Vienna, a burned-out car was found containing the body of the murdered 21-year-old Ukrainian.
According to media reports, the deceased may be the son of Kharkiv Deputy Mayor Serhii Kuzmin.
On December 5, media suggested that one of the suspects in the murder of the deputy mayor’s son is the 19-year-old son of a well-known businessman in Bukovyna, former director of the Kalynivka Market, Ivan Rynzhuk. He was also listed as a stepson in the income declaration of Olesia Ilashchuk, who was appointed Ukraine’s ambassador to Bulgaria in late 2022.
