Negotiations between the United States and Ukraine over natural resources could resume if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky alters his position.

U.S. National Security Advisor Michael Waltz stated this on Fox News.

“We need to hear from Zelensky that he regrets what happened, is ready to sign the minerals deal, and is willing to participate in peace talks,” Waltz emphasized.

According to the White House advisor, asking Zelensky to reconsider his stance is “not too much to ask.” Waltz also noted that U.S. President Donald Trump remains open to resuming discussions on access to Ukraine’s resources.
