October 12, 2023‘Torture and unlawful detention’: soldiers who beat men at Ternopil military recruitment office face suspicions
October 12, 2023Ukrainian Member of Parliament Larisa Bilozir is gaining notoriety for her penchant for buying expensive designer items worth hundreds of thousands of hryvnias instead of focusing on her work.
Bilozir is known for her love of high-end designer items and is not shy about showing up in public places adorned in them. On one occasion, she attended a parliamentary session with a $10,000 Hermès Kelly bag, which earned her criticism. Subsequently, she had to justify her purchase, claiming she bought the bag for 7,000 hryvnias in Vinnytsia and subsequently dressed more modestly.
Recently, Bilozir embarked on an official business trip to attend a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France. However, instead of preparing for the session, she and her friend, fellow Member of Parliament Maria Mezentseva, decided to visit yet another high-end boutique, where Bilozir purchased a Louis Vuitton handbag for over 100,000 hryvnias (2,700 euros).
What’s amusing is that this information might not have come to light if Mezentseva hadn’t inadvertently “exposed” her friend’s shopping trip by posting about it on social media.
