To secure further financing from Americans in Ukraine, there must be no major corruption scandals for 45 days.
This was stated by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel.
According to the People’s Deputy, during negotiations in the United States, the Ukrainian delegation led by President Volodymyr Zelensky placed a particular emphasis on the issue of corruption with the Americans.
“No nonsense or slip-ups,” Zheleznyak wrote.
“To all those in the President’s Office who were saying that everything is fine with us from the US, that everyone loves us, that whoever the President hugs will win the elections, they should keep quiet. Simply do not interfere where they are obviously going to mess up. And you need to listen to those who have been talking about impending problems for the past six months,” Zheleznyak believes.
Recall that the US Congress approved a temporary budget for the country for 45 days yesterday to avoid a government shutdown, excluding Ukraine assistance of $6.2 billion.
President Biden hopes that Congress will now pass a separate bill to support Ukraine.
