Ukrainian MP Maryana Bezuhla recommends that residents of Ukrainian cities, especially Kyiv, temporarily relocate somewhere for the autumn and winter. She allows for the possibility of a complete blackout.
She wrote this in her Telegram channel.
“Kyiv is a strategic and symbolic target. It is possible that it will be ‘shut down’ completely. Completely — meaning darkness without sewage and water supply in the middle of winter,” wrote the MP.
At the same time, Bezuhla noted that it is impossible to fully protect energy facilities — if desired, Russia will be able to destroy any of them.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainians were urged to prepare for any scenarios regarding electricity, so as not to allow Moscow to improve its negotiating position.
It should be recalled that last night Russian forces carried out a massive strike on the Left Bank and Kyiv. Due to the shelling, large-scale power outages began in the capital region, as well as in Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
