Czech President Petr Pavel calls for involvement of Russia and China in peace talks on Ukraine.
This was stated in an interview with ČTK.
“It is particularly important to involve China as a ‘major global player’ who can influence Moscow. If China refuses to engage in negotiations, Russia will ‘not feel the internal necessity to act’ and will ‘try to gain advantages for itself,'” noted Petr Pavel.
Pavel also anticipates a “certain shift” in the war in Ukraine by the end of 2024 or early 2025 due to elections worldwide, including in the United States, and “war fatigue affecting both warring sides.”
According to his statement, this “shift” should lead towards the end of the conflict.
