08.11.2024 09:50Polish Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz opposes transferring fourth-generation MiG-29 multirole fighters to Ukraine, as they are used to patrol Polish airspace.
Kosiniak-Kamysz, who is also the Minister of Defense, made this statement on Radio Zet.
“The MiG-29s patrol Polish skies and serve Polish pilots. I cannot agree to the transfer of these aircraft. I do not support this,” the minister stated.
Kosiniak-Kamysz also responded to President Zelensky’s remarks regarding assistance to Ukraine.
“It would certainly be easier for him if other countries were directly involved in this war, but Poland is not a party to the conflict,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
He reminded listeners that Poland provides the largest humanitarian and military support to Ukraine.
“It makes me sad that this is often forgotten,” Kosiniak-Kamysz added.
