A meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Andrzej Duda will take place in New York, where both presidents will go to the UN General Assembly.
15.09.2023 - 20:55Poland’s Minister of Development and Technology, Waldemar Buda, on Friday signed an order imposing an indefinite ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine, including wheat, corn, rapeseed, and sunflower seeds.
Buda announced this decision on Twitter.
The Polish minister referred to the European Commission’s decision not to extend the embargo on the import of Ukrainian grain as “erroneous” and specified that the order would come into effect at midnight on September 16.
W związku z błędną decyzją KE o nieprzedłużeniu embarga na zboże z UA, zgodnie z poleceniem @MorawieckiM i całej Rady Ministrów podpisałem rozporządzenie krajowe utrzymujące embargo.
Rozporządzenie jest bezterminowe i wejdzie w życie po publikacji o północy 16.09.2023.

“For Polish farmers first!” Buda added, thanking Poland’s Minister of Agriculture, Robert Telus, and the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski, who was appointed on Poland’s quota.
As known, the European Commission had introduced a temporary restriction on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products into five EU member states – Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia. They argued that Ukrainian grain was impacting their markets and harming local farmers.
However, on Friday, the European Commission announced that it would not extend restrictions on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine beyond September 15. Nevertheless, Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia have decided to impose unilateral restrictions.
